When Erik ten Hag’s men do return to action on Sunday, they face one of the biggest tests of their season, facing a City side that has looked near-unstoppable so far this term.

In the meantime, we have rounded up all the latest transfer news and rumours surrounding Old Trafford.

The report claims the Mexican is frustrated after losing his spot in Naples, and he is keen to depart in January, providing nothing changes in the meantime.

It’s claimed United are monitoring the situation, weighing up a possible move. The 27-year-old winger has been with Napoli since 2019, and he has a contract until 2024 as things stand.

He is valued at £27million by Transfermarkt.

Gakpo latest

United could return to make a move for PSV star Cody Gakpo next year.

Gakpo was a target in the summer, but he is one United failed to get over the line, with the winger deciding to stay in the Netherlands.

But Forbes claim the decision was made with the thought of United coming back with fresh interest next year.

“Until last week I thought I would go to Manchester United,” Gakpo told PSV TV recently. In the last week I looked at all options. In the end PSV came up with a good offer and that turned out to be the right choice for me.

“Manchester United had reported at the beginning of the transfer window. We were waiting for that a bit. The signals became more and more positive and at a certain point I thought it might fall in that direction.”
