Manchester United continued their winning run on New Year’s Eve thanks to Marcus Rashford’s late strike against Wolves.

The Red Devils have now moved into the top four, and they will be looking to stay there when they face Bournemouth on Tuesday evening. Meanwhile, Erik ten Hag and his staff will be assessing potential transfer targets with the January transfer window now open, needing to add depth in a number of areas if United are to coe out on top in the top four race.

With that in mind, we have rounded up all the latest transfer news and rumours surrounding Old Trafford.

Rashford contract

United are set to hold fresh contract talks with Marcus Rashford over the coming weeks.

Rashford has returned to form over recent months, and the Red Devils recently triggered a one-year extension, but it seems they want to keep the England international around for significantly longer. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Red Devils will hold talks with Rashford soon, and it’s hoped the two parties will come to an agreement. Though, United have bought themselves time by making sure the forward is tied down until 2024.

Olmo ‘offer’

United need another attacker this January, and according to recent reports, Spain international Dani Olmo has become a target.

According to Nacional via Football 365, United have made an offer for the winger, who came close to leaving for AC Milan in the summer, only for the deal to fall through. It’s claimed RB Leipzig would want as much as £58million for Olmo, who is tied down to a contract until 2024.

Olmo has been one of Spain’s stand-out stars over the last couple of years, and he is still only 24 years of age. Leipzig are not likely to budge on that price after agreeing a deal for that much with Milan just a few months ago.
