Striker latest

United have been linked with a future swoop for RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko. The 20-year-old, who is a Slovenia international with 22 caps under his belt so far in his career, is being tipped for a bright future in the game.

He has scored three goals in five games so far this season. Reporter Fabrizio Romano has told CaughtOffside: “Another striker to watch in 2024 will be RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko. He scored his first Champions League goal last night against Young Boys and has long been regarded as a top talent, and at every single Leipzig game there are scouts from top clubs monitoring him, especially from England.

“His progress is being monitored, let’s see what will happen, though not in January for sure, but in summer 2024 or 2025. The price tag is impossible to say now as he only joined Leipzig 60 days ago, it’s not something evolving now, but one to watch in the near future.”

Attacker update

Harry Kane was reportedly open to a move to United in the last transfer window. However, a switch to Old Trafford from Tottenham Hotspur didn’t happen in the end and he subsequently went to Bayern Munich.

He has since made an impressive start to life in Germany and helped his new club beat the Red Devils in their latest outing. It isn’t beyond the realms of possibility that he could return to England in the future and Spurs’ owner Daniel Levy has confirmed that his side have a buy-back clause, as per The Times.
