Badiashile price set

Monaco have reportedly raised their asking price for defender Benoit Badiashile, with United joining Newcastle United in the battle to sign the centre-back.

According to an update from Nice-Matin, the Ligue 1 outfit will demand around £50 million for the 21-year-old, who is also attracting interest from the likes of Atletico Madrid, Chelsea and Sevilla.

Newcastle were linked with the player in January, and reportedly had a £33 million bid to sign him snubbed by Monaco, but now face competition from the Red Devils, who are understood to be in the market for defensive reinforcements this summer.

According to an update from Fabrizio Romano, the Red Devils are ‘busy’ trying to wrap up other deals, and that has handed the Gunners an opportunity to steal a march on their efforts to sign the Argentina international.

Speaking to Caught Offside, the Italian transfer guru said: “These are two negotiations at different stages.

“Arsenal have already submitted official offers up to £34.4 million plus add-ons for Martinez, while Manchester United are busy with Tyrell Malacia and Frenkie de Jong but have had contact with Lisandro’s agents.”

Irons target Danjuma

West Ham United have held more positive talks over a move for reported Red Devils target Arnaut Danjuma, but have still to agree a fee with Villarreal, according to the Daily Mail.

The 25-year-old has regularly been mentioned in relation to a potential move to Old Trafford in recent transfer windows, but could be on his way to East London instead, with suggestions that his current employers could be willing to sell for around £37.5 million.

Alongside United, Liverpool and Arsenal have also been linked with the winger.

Elsewhere, 90min report that the Hammers are “pushing hard” to sign Jesse Lingard, who failed to agree a contract extension with the Red Devils this summer.
