Former Manchester City man eyed

United are reportedly keen on signing Wolfsburg’s Felix Nmecha this summer along with Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund and have held ‘talks’ with the player’s father, according to a report by Sport1. The midfielder, who is 22-years-old, has been a key player for his current club over recent times and has two years left on his contract there.

Nmecha rose up through the academy ranks at the Etihad Stadium and went on to make two first-team appearances under Pep Guardiola. He was then given the green light to leave England on a permanent basis in 2021 and has since made 50 appearances during his time at the Volkswagen Arena, scoring three goals and assisting seven.

Defender update

Portsmouth are ‘hopeful’ of signing Di’Shon Bernard on a permanent basis with United deciding not to extend his deal ahead of next term, as per a report by The News. The defender was loaned out to the League One side to get some more experience under his belt in January and went on to play 10 league games for the Hampshire outfit.

The 22-year-old Londoner made the move up north to link up with the Red Devils as a youngster back in 2017 having previously been on the books at Chelsea. He has played once for the senior team and has also been loaned out to Salford City and Hull City.
