All the latest transfer news surrounding Manchester United as Erik ten Hag looks to add to the signing of Mason Mount.

Manchester United have enjoyed a busy week so far, with a new signing topping the newsreel.

United have welcomed several stars back to training, announced a new home kit and confirmed the £60million signing of Mason Mount from Chelsea. Erik ten Hag will be delighted to have strengthened his midfield with a starting calibre midfielder, and he can now turn attention to strengthening other areas, such as goalkeeper and striker.

In the meantime, we have rounded up all the latest transfer news and rumours surrounding Old Trafford.

Onana offer rejected

United are said to have come up short in their opening bid to land a David De Gea replacement.

The Red Devils are said to have set their sights on Inter Milan keeper Andre Onana this summer, and The Athletic say they have now submitted a bid worth £39million, although Inter are said to be demanding as much as £60million for their keeper, who has emerged as one of the best stoppers in Europe. The report claims Inter have rejected that offer, although they could settle somewhere in between, at around £51million.

It’s reported that Onana’s departure is key to Inter having enough money to sign players this summer.

Sanchez option

United may have another option in their goalkeeper search, according to reports elsewhere.

The Daily Mail have reported that Brighton goalkeeper Robert Sanchez could be a surprise option for the Red Devils as they look to save cash in order to strengthen other areas. However, Brighton have already sold Alexis Mac Allister this summer, and they could yet sign Moises Caicedo, perhaps making them reluctant to sell other key players.

The report claims Brighton could demand around £30million for Sanchez’s signature if they are to sell the Spaniard this summer. That would mean a saving of £21million for United if the fee is compared to the asking price for Onana.
