United have been joined by French giants PSG in the race for Benfica midfielder Joao Neves, according to French news outlet Le10Sport. The 22-year-old has been linked with a switch to Old Trafford but there is competition for his signature.
Neves, who is a Portugal international with nine caps under his belt, has been on the books of his current club for his whole career to date. He initially broke into their B team as a teenager before becoming a regular for the first-team.
The Tavira-born man has made 75 appearances in all competitions and has chipped in with four goals. However, his future is up in the air at this moment in time.
Midfielder could be available
United are ‘considering’ offers for Scott McTominay in this window, as per Football Insider. The midfielder has been on the radar of fellow top flight outfit West Ham in the past.

McTominay has recently been away at Euro 2024 but his country Scotland weren’t able to get out of their group in the end. He managed to score against Switzerland though in their 1-1 draw in Cologne.
Speaking last year, he admitted that United were ‘consistent’. He admitted: "We are inconsistent as a team, we have not been naive to that.
"We have spoken with the coaching staff about it. The schedule has been relentless, but we can't use that as an excuse. As a group we have to come together and find out the answers to that.

Youngster was on radar
United have looked into a possible deal for youngster Chinaza Nwosu at West Ham, Football Insider claim. However, the Hammers are poised to tie up a new contract for the 16-year-old, with Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur also credited with an interest.
He could have been seen as a useful long-term option for the Red Devils as an addition for their development side. The teenager is staying put at the London Stadium though ahead of next term and is a name to keep an eye out for over the next couple of years.
