Manchester United return to Premier League action tomorrow evening as they face Wolves at Molineux in the reverse of this season's opening game. Erik ten Hag's side won 1-0 at Old Trafford back in August but have struggled since and are currently ninth in the table.

While Ten Hag and his players focus on the football side of things, recruitment chiefs at United will be working behind the scenes to finalise any deadline day deals. And with a little over 24 hours until the window slams shut, ManchesterWorld takes a look at the latest transfer headlines.

Late midfield exit

United are considering a late sale of Isak Hansen-Aarøen with increasing interest in the midfielder's signature. The Manchester Evening News reports that Ajax, Atletico Madrid and Napoli are all keen on a move for the 19-year-old ahead of tomorrow's deadline.

Hansen-Aarøen has entered the final six months of his contract at United and looks set to leave this year amid frustration over a lack of first-team opportunities. The club are said to be keen on keeping the Norwegian but accept that an exit is likely and would like to receive a fee.

United would be entitled to compensation if the teenager leaves for free in the summer but the report suggests they would get more, and be able to insert a sell-on clause, if they cash in this month. A host of German and Dutch clubs are also thought to be interested.

Getafe striker liked

United are thought to be keeping an eye on Getafe striker Borja Mayoral. GiveMeSport reports that scouts watching Mason Greenwood in Spain have been impressed by his striker partner in recent weeks.

Mayoral is currently joint top-scorer in La Liga alongside Real Madrid's Jude Bellingham and Artem Dovbyk of Girona, having netted an impressive 14 times in 21 appearances. The 26-year-old is thought to be valued at around £12million.

United have been linked with a number of strikers this month but look set to wait on any major investment into that area of the squad. Anthony Martial is expected to leave for free once his contract expires and Ten Hag is keen to bring in more experience alongside the 20-year-old Rasmus Hojlund.
