There could be further incomings before the market shuts, with Frenkie de Jong continuing to be strongly linked with a move to the Red Devils.
Ten Hag is known to be a huge admirer of the Barcelona midfielder, whom he managed at Ajax.
Should De Jong join United, it would likely be the final piece of the jigsaw for the new United boss, following a pre-season which has given fans real insight into what he feels is his strongest XI.
The team which started against Atleti is the basis for that team, although several players were absent due to illness, while Eriksen and Martinez were never going to start given their recent arrivals.
