A Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder lent by Wayne Rooney to a fellow Manchester United star is up for auction.
Rooney reportedly pitied new United arrival Carlos Tevez for not owning a supercar when he joined the club in 2007 - so lent him the Lambo.

I spoke to Rooney about it and crazy guy that he is, he told me 'take the Lamborghini'. So I took it and I went without registering it around Manchester with the car, this car that he gave to me."
According to Tevez, he collected the car from Wayne's house and used it for ten days.
The 2007 model dream machine, originally priced around £160,000, will go under the hammer with Iconic Auctioneers on 25 August at the Silverstone Festival. The Lambo has had only had three registered keepers, the first being Rooney, and is estimated to fetch between £50,000 and £60,000.
Powered by a 5.2-litre V10 engine producing 552bhp, the LP560-4 model can go 0-62mph in 3.7 seconds on its way to a top speed of 202mph.

So this car offers a special opportunity, to own a car that once belonged to two world renowned football players. Provenance does not come more gilded that that."
