Jose Mourinho gives blunt Manchester United and Erik ten Hag verdict with £73m outcast's future up in the air
One player who featured in the Champions League final was of particular interest to United fans.
Jose Mourinho is set to be named the new manager of Turkish giants Fenerbahce. But before getting stuck into his latest role the former Manchester United boss worked as a pundit during the Champions League final at Wembley.

The 61-year-old was quizzed on Jadon Sacho’s involvement for Borussia Dortmund in their 2-0 defeat to Real Madrid. The 24-year-old was exiled at Old Trafford after falling out with Erik ten Hag before being loaned back to his former club.
With the Dutch manager’s position to be ironed out in the coming days, the prospect of Sancho returning to the first-team fold at United hasn’t been ruled out but Mourinho is clear where the problem lies.
“As a player we know his talent,” he told TNT Sports. “For sure the kid made mistakes. But for sure also his manager was not able to get the best out of him. I think in this case for sure they (United) look at it and try to analyse what happened at Man United and what he found at Dortmund.”
There was much fanfare about Sancho’s £73million move to Old Trafford in the summer of 2021 but after being critical of his manager on social media having been called out for his performances in training he became something of an outcast. He has found his form again back on familiar soil meaning his future is set to be a big topic of discussion this summer.
Dortmund were well on top and missed several opportunities at Wembley before Dani Carvajal and Vinicius Junior scored in the final 20 minutes to seal a 2-0 win for the Spanish giants who won the competition for the 15th time. Sancho played 87 minutes before being replaced with ex-United man Marcel Sabitzer playing in the German side’s midfield.
