"He's really demanding" - Diogo Dalot reveals first impression of Ruben Amorim at Manchester United

Diogo Dalot believes Ruben Amorim is 'exactly what Manchester United need' from their new head coach. The 39-year-old took charge of United for the first time as they drew 1-1 with Ipswich Town at the weekend and it was clear right from the off he demands a lot from his players.
United scored within 90 seconds at Portman Road, and although the overall performance was rather underwhelming, Amorim's identity was obvious despite only having limited personnel to choose from down to a combination of injuries and fatigue after the international break.

Hide AdAmorim's influence should become clearer once players have had longer with him on the training ground and Portuguese compatriot Dalot is feeling positive about the appointment.
"He's really demanding," Dalot said after the Ipswich draw. "He's exactly what we need for this type of club. That's the standard the club should have, by demanding people are really professional and working hard for the team. That's the clear message that he gives us every day. We prepared all together, and give credit to him and all the staff. They gave us all the information we needed to be ready for this game. We now have a couple of more days to keep working on that, and look forward to Thursday."
When pushed further on the impact Amorim has made in his first two weeks at the club, Dalot praised the clear instructions he has received, but reiterated it will take some time before they are able to implement his philosophy on the pitch.
He added: "It's gone really well. He made an impact straight away, in terms of his philosophy and the way he wants us to play. It suits the standards of the club. High intensity football and working hard for the team. We just need to put it into practice now. We have to give credit to him and his staff for all the information they gave us. It was really clearer us and obviously now we will take some more training sessions and games to put this into practice."
