People in Manchester can get their hands on a free kebab on Tuesday ahead of Manchester United’s crunch Champions League clash with Bayern Munich.
German Doner Kebab has organised a “Munich Munch” challenge and is offering up free kebabs for the first 100 people to place their order in German at their central Manchester restaurant on Oxford Road. Guests should simply order their kebab in German, using any appropriate phrasing, for example, “Kann ich bitte einen OG Kebab bestellen?” - “Can I please order an OG kebab?”.

Dr Thorsk Westphal, GDK’s Global CMO, said: “The modern doner kebab was created in Germany, and football in England, so it seems only right that we honour this momentous game in our own unique GDK way. The “Munich Munch” challenge will add a fun element to the day and help educate local fans whilst making Bayern fans feel at home.”
