Erik ten Hag’s agent breaks silence on Man Utd manager position as contract extension confirmed
Erik ten Hag’s agent, Kees Vos, has spoken publicly for the first time since Erik ten Hag retained his position as Manchester United manager.
Speculation surrounding the Dutchman’s future lasted for several weeks after the club’s FA Cup final victory over Manchester City, with Ineos executives speaking to a number of potential replacements. The likes of Thomas Tuchel, Thomas Frank, Roberto De Zerbi, Mauricio Pochettino and Kieran McKenna were all sounded out as possible alternatives to Ten Hag, before a decision to continue with the incumbent boss was finally confirmed on 12 June.

Vos, a board member at SEG, has not made any public comment on Ten Hag’s situation this summer, but expressed his delight that a new deal has been agreed. “It’s been quite a rollercoaster ride since Erik ten Hag joined Manchester United more than two years ago, but I’m proud to have been part of it,” he said via a statement .
“Today, we can announce that we will continue to be part of it: Erik ten Hag will stay in the red part of town for two more years. It was and is a pleasure working with all the people involved, from past to present.
“SEG is proud to have assisted both Erik and the new Manchester United football leadership team in making this extension possible. I am very much looking forward to visiting Old Trafford again.”

SEG also represent Rasmus Hojlund, Sofyan Amrabat, youngster Sam Mather and Rene Hake, the coach who may be set to join Ten Hag’s team at United.
