Following the dismissal of Erik ten Hag, the spotlight is naturally on Manchester United and how their second half of the season could look under new management. His pending replacement, Ruben Amorim, is expected to sign a two-and-a-half-year deal at Old Trafford but the official announcement is currently on ice.

Amorim is set to be officially unveiled as the new United boss after the upcoming international break, according to reports, which gives fans some time to get excited about what he can bring to the table.
Ten Hag’s time at Old Trafford divided the fanbase and saw him come under scrutiny for United’s poor form at times. Last season was the Red Devils’ worst ever Premier League finish. With 60 points on the board — 31 behind rivals and champions Manchester City — United finished eighth, marking their lowest top flight finish since 1989/90.
The Reds are currently 14th in the Premier League table after winning just three of their opening nine games so far and scoring a mere eight goals in that time. Their lack of flair in front of goal has put the team under the microscope but with Amorim’s arrival pending, United have been backed to find a new surge going forward.

Hide AdFormer Everton chief Keith Wyness has picked out Marcus Rashford to reignite his form under new management, having been ‘dissatisfied’ under Ten Hag.
“With a new manager, you may well see Marcus with a refreshed attitude. He may well get on with a new manager and revitalise his career,” Wyness told Football Insider. “It was only recently that he scored 30 goals in a season, he’s a huge talent. Amorim could bring out the best in him.
“He’s been making negative sounds for a while, he’s obviously very dissatisfied. If it’s not with Manchester and his personal life but with the football side, then he’s got a chance to turn it around. He’s still 26, very young — and I think Amorim could be the right man. He’s only 39, so he can relate to the younger players a lot better than Ten Hag. I think it’s going to be a key factor in getting this squad motivated and flying again.”
