Manchester United has been home to some of the beautiful game's great names.
Cantona, Best, Beckham, Ronaldo, we could go on. But in amongst all that, there's been a few shockers to pull on the red of United too. Heck, even Sir Alex Ferguson got a few deals wrong down the years.
1. Massimo Taibi
Played just four games for the club in the 1999-2000 season which were memorable largely for the wrong reasons. There was that Matt Le Tissier goal that slipped past him at Old Trafford and his final game for the club was a 5-0 defeat at Chelsea. | Getty
2. William Prunier
William Prunier Forced into action when at the club on trial in December 1995 due to an injury crisis - his second and last game for the club was a disastrous 4-1 defeat at Tottenham on New Year’s Day 1996. Down in folklore, rightly or wrongly, as one of the worst to play for the Red Devils. Now the manager of Bourges Foot 18 in France. | Getty
3. Eric Djemba-Djemba
Signed as a potential heir to Roy Keane, Djemba-Djemba would last 18 months at Old Trafford before being shipped on to Aston Villa. His career fizzled despite 34 caps for Cameroon. | Getty
4. Owen Hargreaves
Arrived an England and Bayern Munich star but saw his four years at Old Trafford blighted by injury. In his 2013 autobiography, Sir Alex described him as one of his most disappointing signings. Would sign for City before admitting his career was over. | Getty
