Noel Gallagher let the tears flow as he watched Manchester City win the Champions League from a bar in the USA on Saturday night.

The rockstar is on tour in the States and couldn't make it to Istanbul to watch his boyhood club complete a historic treble and become only the second English side in history to do so, after Manchester United in 1999.

Noel would normally ensure he doesn't play shows on the date of the Champions League final just in case City would be playing in the final but admitted that had become harder to avoid thanks to this season's scheduling shake-up following the winter World Cup in Qatar.

Before taking to the stage in Chula Vista, San Diego, Noel was seen in a packed-out bar watching the Champions League action. Fellow Man City fans joined the Oasis man and serenaded him with a raucous version of 'Don't Look Back in Anger' as Pep Guardiola saw his side lift the Champions League trophy.

In another clip shared online, Noel could be seen clapping and wiping a flow of tears from underneath his large sunglasses.

Fans online joked that the singer's tears must be due to the fact 'he has to call Liam now' after his brother admitted an Oasis reunion could be on the cards should City complete the treble.

The High Flying Birds man had promised to perform that evening in his underwear should Manchester City win the Champions League and Erling Haaland score a hat-trick but escaped the embarrassment thanks to a 1-0 scoreline and Rodri goal.

Speaking to The Daily Mail in the aftermath of the win, Noel said: “It sits everybody down for a bit. The people who like to criticise City, it just shuts everybody up.

"It shuts Carragher up, Neville, Rio (Ferdinand), all those guys who think they have got a divine right to waltz around the landscape of the media because they did something that no one else has done.

"When Sheikh Mansour took over, they said we were going to do it… a lot of people have been vindicated. Everybody watches the Champions League final and to win it puts you on the world stage and means that everybody can take a deep breath now.

“I can't even put it into words. It won't sink in for a while. It was exhausting watching it. I would love to be back in England now because I can't celebrate with my kids. They're all celebrating with their friends.”
