Manchester City only have two doubts ahead of Sunday's clash against Arsenal.

Manchester City could travel to Wembley with a fully fit squad for Sunday’s Community Shield against Arsenal.

With no major international tournaments this summer for Pep Guardiola’s players, it allowed the City manager more time with the squad in pre-season, compared to previous years. City played three friendlies in Japan and South Korea during July, with every senior outfield player getting some minutes ahead of the new campaign.

The exception was Kevin De Bruyne, who is still recovering from a hamstring injury he sustained in the Champions League final in June. The Belgian has been back in full-contact training for a while, however, and may be an option at Wembley this weekend.

Nathan Ake also picked up a knock in the win over Bayern Munich that prevented him featuring against Atletico Madrid on Sunday. Cole Palmer was an unused substitute in both of the games, although it’s not believed there is an injury at this stage.

As for Arsenal, Mikel Arteta has a few more absentees to contend with. The Gunner boss revealed on Wednesday that Gabriel Jesus will miss Sunday's fixture with a knee problem. “Unfortunately, he has had a little procedure this morning," Arteta explained.

"He had some discomfort in his knee that has been causing some issues and they had to go in and resolve it. It's not something major, but he's going to be out for a few weeks I think.

Fellow ex-City man Oleksandr Zinchenko is a doubt for Sunday’s fixture and hasn’t featured so far in pre-season for the Gunners, while USA international Folarin Balogun might be ruled out with a foot problem.

Elsewhere, Reiss Nelson has a toe injury that is expected to prevent him facing the European champions, while Mohamed Elneny and Albert Sambi Lokonga have long-term issues. Cedric Soares, Nuno Tavares and Nicolas Pepe aren’t in Arteta’s plans and weren’t involved in the club’s US tour this summer, so the trio will not play any part at Wembley.

In better news, Declan Rice returned to the team on Wednesday for the pre-season friendly against Monaco, and should therefore make his Arsenal debut against City.

Doubts: Ake, De Bruyne (City); Zinchenko, Balogun (Arsenal)

Ruled out: Cedric, Tavares, Elneny, Lokonga, Pepe, Nelson, Jesus (Arsenal)
