Peter Kay fans have shared their annoyance that tickets for his Manchester AO Arena gig are being listed on resale sites for as much as £1,050.
Pre-sale tickets for the Bolton comedian’s two December gigs at the arena went on sale on Thursday morning - with priority providers including O2 saying they’d seen the biggest spike in demand for a gig in 15 years. Tickets sold through official channels start at £35 - but furious fans who’d been unable to secure those said they had spotted re-sale tickets listed on Viagogo for over £1000 already today.
One tweeted: “How can people do this? Outrageous.”

The Better Late Than Never UK tour kicks off at the AO on 2 and 3 December. It has been almost 12 years since Kay last took to the stage after the planned Have Gags, Will Travel tour was cancelled due to “unforeseen family circumstances” - fuelling demand this time around for the 15-date tour.
General sale tickets go live on Ticketmaster from 10am on 12 November following the end of the pre-sale for priority customers.
