Helen Flanagan enjoys a glass of wine after failed attempt to capture a photo with her three children

Helen Flanagan has shared her attempt at trying to capture a sweet photo  with her children. The former Coronation Street actress, 32, took to Instagram on Monday to share a carousel of candid snaps. The actress is seen trying to organise her three children for a photo session - however the little ones have other ideas.

The I’m A Celebrity star has regularly updated her fans on the realities of solo parenting, since her split from  ex-fiance, Scott Sinclair, with whom she shares two daughters Matilda, eight, Delilah, five, and two-year-old son, Charlie.  Helen’s  first snap shows her clutching a glass of wine as she tries to snuggle up to her excitable kids. She joked in the caption: “Trying to get a family picture with my kids 😅.”

Another snap  shows the Coronation Street star sprawled out on the carpet with her children climbing on top of her. Fans flooded the comments with praise for the doting mum-of-three, with one writing: “I think u nailed it” and another wrote: “You are all adorable- thriving!”Whilst a third joked: “Glad it’s not just me that’s used as a human jenga tower.”

Many fans showed appreciation for the last snap in the carousel, which showed five-year-old Delilah grinning at the camera as Helen lay on the carpet with Charlie on her back and Matilda smiling coyly in the corner of the shot.

This comes after Helen recently shared snaps kissing  her youngest, Charlie. In the caption, she wrote: “Trying to get pictures with my two year old.” The post quickly gathered a wave of comments with some even criticising Helen’s parenting methods.

One follower wrote: “Why do you constantly ask your kids for kiss after kiss...like it’s not normal plus the way you talk to them is like you are talking to puppies. You need to act like their mum...they need tough love and discipline.”

Another commented: “Have you ever thought they don’t want photos and kisses all the time. I’ve never known anyone to ask their kids for kiss after kiss ???”

Helen’s loyal fans rushed to defend her from the mum-shaming, with one writing: “Sod off I ask for kisses a lot when they are wee cause soon enough they’re teenagers and you get nothing.”

Another fan agreed, saying: “It’s a parenting style and is completely okay.”  A third added: “They are only little once, not all kids need tough love.”
