Helen Flanagan has thanked fans for their “nice messages” after her latest I’m A Celebrity… South Africa trial. The former Coronation Street actress, 32, took to her Instagram Story after ITV aired the World’s End challenge on Monday (1 May) night.

The mum-of-three is currently taking part in the all-star edition of the popular reality show, after her first stint in 2012. During Monday’s episode, she took on the “highest ever I’m A Celeb trial” alongside former boxer Amir Khan, who has now left the jungle, and radio host Myleene Klass. The trio got all 11 stars with four minutes to spare, which even impressed hosts Ant and Dec.

Speaking to her one million Instagram followers yesterday (May 2), Helen said: “Thank you so much for your nice messages about the jungle. Honestly, anybody that knows me like I hate heights. I really am not a height fan. But thank you so much for your nice messages, honestly it means the world to me. Thank you so much, and yeah I just really tried to work with that kind of mindset like keeping calm, rationalising things.”

Looking a lot fresher than Monday (1 May), when Helen spent the bank holiday hungover, she added: “It was really nice actually because I got some nice comments when I went on like the nursery run and the school run, which was really lovely.

The blonde beauty then spoke about how “rough” she looks in the South African jungle, confirming that she is “such a makeup girl” and even planned to get hair extensions put in before the pre-recorded show. However, she decided against it, joking: “Could you imagine like if I got bugs stuck in my extension. I would be hysterical. Could you imagine like getting a cockroach lodged in your extension.”

Since I’m A Celebrity… South Africa aired on 24 April, Helen has continued to receive support from fans and celebrities alike, including from fellow Coronation Street actress Lucy Fallon and 2019 I’m A Celeb winner Jacquline Jossa.
