Lucy has now revealed that their baby boy is named Sonny and gave an insight into becoming a mother for the first time.

Speaking to OK! magazine, Lucy said: "I kept adding names to a list. I liked a lot of names that Ryan didn’t. Some were a bit out there, like ‘Fox’. But as the pregnancy progressed, we were calling him Sonny.”

She said they were both left sobbing happy tears following the birth of their son and admitted becoming a mother had been a “roller-coaster ride”.

The soap star said: "It’s been a roller-coaster of high and low moments, with lots of tears along the way.

"When Sonny was finally born, we were both sobbing – but happy tears."

Lucy shared the happy news that she was expecting in September after suffering a heart-breaking miscarriage in March.

Speaking to the Mirror, Lucy said: "It was a traumatising, horrendous time. We went for a scan, and they couldn’t see anything, so then, we went to the hospital, and they thought they could see something, so it was very up and down.

“I had pregnancy symptoms, and I was feeling really unwell. There were no signs I’d had a miscarriage, so that made it more of a shock. We just assumed everything was going to be fine.

“Then after a week, when they’d done the blood tests and other tests, I went back, and they said I’d miscarried. It was a really strange feeling.”
