Manchester’s own Oasis have been nominated for a spot in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They are joined by many other huge names from the world of music, including Birmingham’s Ozzy Osbourne.
If selected for a spot in the hall of fame, Oasis would join iconic figures such as Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles and David Bowie. This year also marks 30 years since Oasis’ record-setting debut album ‘Definitely Maybe’ was released, and an induction into the hall of fame would make it a memorable anniversary.

Hide AdOasis produced seven studio albums and sold out shows around the world. The chemistry of the band made them global stars, but the friction of Liam and Noel Gallagher ended up being their downfall when they split in 2009.
Rumours of their reunion have bubbled pretty much since, but 15 years later and the two brothers are entrenched in their own personal projects. Liam is to play at Manchester’s new Co-op Live this summer, in a series of shows that have already sold out. He's also announced a new partnership with Stone Roses great John Squire. Noel's latest tour will see him play Wigan Robin Park this summer.
Voting is now open for the 2024 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, which will take place at the end of April but a date is yet to be announced. You can vote for Oasis by visiting the hall of fame website.
