Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds release new versions of two Oasis classics ahead of UK tour

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds have geared up for a UK arena tour and a huge 2024 with a special release. The band has announced the release of new versions of classic Oasis songs. 

New versions of ‘Going Nowhere’ and ‘The Masterplan’ have been recorded at London’s iconic Abbey Road Studios. The release comes just days before NGHFB head out on a UK tour, which unfortunately doesn’t include a date in Manchester. The songs can be listened to now through the band's website.

Both of these songs feature on the original release of Oasis’ B-side album ‘The Masterplan’. The album recently marked its 25th anniversary and ended up at number 2 in the UK charts following its re-entry in November. 

The band did play one huge show in Manchester this year which saw them take to the stage at Wythenshawe Park in the summer. In the coming year, they will perform at Wigan’s Robin Park as part of a four date UK outdoor tour. 

NGHFB feature plenty of Oasis songs when they perform live. At the Wythenshawe Park gig in August of this year, the band played six Oasis tracks including ‘The Masterplan’ and ‘Half The World Away’. 

During the upcoming arena tours and the summer series of gigs, fans can expect to hear plenty of Oasis songs. You will also get more than a taste of songs from ‘Council Skies’, NGHFBs latest album which was released earlier this year. 

The album includes ‘Open The Door, See What You Find’, ‘Pretty Boy’, ‘Easy Now’, and current single ‘We’re Gonna Get There In The End’. If you are an avid radio listener, you’ve probably heard this one as it is currently featured on multiple key national radio playlists.
