Thousands of people gathered in Manchester city centre to enjoy the annual Pride parade on Saturday (27 August).
The colourful procession celebrating LGBTQ+ culture and communities made a welcome return after a hiatus due to the Covid pandemic.
Setting off from Deansgate on Saturday afternoon and winding its way through the city centre towards the Gay Village, the parade attracted dozens of groups of people taking part, as well as throngs of spectators enjoying the good Bank Holiday weather.
There were vibrant costumes, live music and lots of banners celebrating this year’s theme of peace.
Pride events continue over this weekend until Monday 29 August.
