Recruiter Indeed has teamed up with the NHS on a big recruitment drive to hire new healthcare support workers for Greater Manchester - here is how to register to attend and what you need to know about the jobs available.

Hundreds of jobseekers are expected to be made on-the-day job offers at a two-day NHS recruitment event in Manchester, hosted by job site Indeed and the NHS.

The organisations are partnering on a series of in-person recruitment events across England to interview for healthcare support worker (HCSW) roles in the health service.

The recruitment events are aimed at candidates who are looking to start out in a healthcare career, return to work after a break, or change careers from another sector.

There are currently thousands of vacancies with the NHS and a backlog of patients awaiting treatment following the pandemic.

At an earlier pilot event in Plymouth, nearly 300 people were interviewed, resulting in 239 job offers.
