From cracking chicken wings to succulent steaks - Manchester eateries have bagged some of the top slots in a public vote by Deliveroo users.
The 2021 awards were open to any venues who sell their food via the popular app and 350,000 people who voted chose 20 of the 21 category winners.
Wingstop, which has one of its 14 branches in Manchester, was also named overall Restaurant of the Year for its London venue by a panel of foodie judges including TV chef Big Zuu and restaurant critic Grace Dent.
Tom Grogan of Wingstop UK said: “We’re absolutely delighted It’s been an incredibly challenging year and to win this award, which has been judged by some of the biggest names in the UK restaurant industry, is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the Wingstop UK team.”
Twenty-four Manchester venues were on the shortlist in all. Gaucho off Deansgate scooped the Best Fine Dining award for 2021. The upmarket restaurant, in a converted church off Deansgate, is known for his Argentinian steaks and fine wines.
