Man City players join Greater Manchester schoolchildren to create Christmas cards for City in the Community

Manchester City players have swapped their boots for felt tips as part of the club’s ‘Christmas, Together’ campaign for 2026.

Stars from the men’s and women’s teams sat down with local schoolchildren to come up with festive designs and messages, and the finished collection is now on sale to fans.

Graduates of Manchester School of Art at Manchester Metropolitan University helped turn the drawings into printed cards. That means the whole project, from first sketch to finished pack, has been made in Manchester.

A short film released alongside the campaign shows the players and children working together, sharing jokes and trading ideas as they come up with their designs.

Packs of six went on sale on Monday, November 2, priced at £6, and can be bought online and in all Manchester City UK stores. Every penny the club makes from the sales will be donated to City in the Community, which is marking its 40th anniversary this season.

Founded to work with young people across Greater Manchester, the charity helps them live healthier lives. During the 2025/26 season it reached 18,000 participants, who each spent an average of 23 hours taking part in its programmes.

City in the Community chief executive Michael Geary said: “Christmas is a time when people come together, and that sense of connection sits at the heart of this year’s campaign.

“Through the Club’s Christmas card activation, we wanted to create something that brings our players, young people and fans together in a fun and meaningful way, while also giving fans the opportunity to support City in the Community during its 40th anniversary celebrations.

“We’re looking forward to seeing the cards shared between City fans, friends and families around the world this Christmas.”
