We try some tasty afternoon tea treats at Manchester’s quirky, immersive tea room inspired by a very famous tale...

A whimsical tea room in Manchester city centre offers several selections of all-day afternoon tea for you to enjoy whilst soaking in its quirky atmosphere. The Alice in Wonderland-themed Richmond Tea Rooms in the Gay Village is a renowned spot in Manchester for the quintessentially British meal-time.

Take a trip down the rabbit hole and through the looking glass as you step into this venue, and keep an eye out for all the 'easter eggs' alluding to the famous story. Richmond Tea Rooms will provide an immersive experience for visitors and serves a variety of themed options for afternoon tea from 10am-7pm Monday to Friday, 9.30am-8pm Saturday and 9.30am-6pm Sunday.

We took a trip to Wonderland and couldn't resist trying their popular Queens Afternoon Tea selection.
