Parklife
One of Manchester’s biggest annual music events is back with a bang at Heaton Park this weekend. The two-day festival will play host to rapper 50 Cent’s only UK gig this year, along with sets from Chase & Status, Jamie XX and many more.

In a mega weekend of gigs, America’s most joyful indie rock ‘n’ rollers return to Manchester for one night only on Saturday. Expect euphoric singalongs, much dancing and a fantastic night out if reviews of earlier gigs in their UK tour are anything to go by. There are a very small number of VIP platinum tickets left on Ticketmaster at time of writing, priced from a hefty £200. Travel advice is here.


Oasis tribute by candlelight
If you fancy seeing a candlelit tribute to one of Manchester’s most iconic bands then look no further. Listen to the rock-pop vibes of Oasis as you’ve never heard them before as a talented violinist and band perform magical renditions of everything from ‘Wonderwall’ to ‘Champagne Supernova’.
The first date is on 10 June at Halle St Peter’s but with multiple dates well into August, prepare to be taken into the clouds while gently illuminated by candlelight. Book at Feverup.


Harry Styles
Fans of pop will be able to hear the musical styl-ings of one of the moment’s biggest chart toppers next week. Harry Styles only has two English locations as part of his Love On Tour shows and Manchester is one of them. There are two dates at Emirates Old Trafford to see the multi-platinum recording artist in the flesh - 15 and 16 June.

Anything Goes is the multi-award winning musical touring the UK with the Palace Theatre next on its agenda. Featuring a 50- strong cast and ensemble of the finest the stage has to offer, not to mention a full-sized live orchestra, this uplifting production features heart-warming romance, farcical fun and spectacular show stopping dance routines. It’s showing at the Palace Theatre from now til 18 June.
