The Rocky Horror Show

Richard O’Brien’s legendary rock ‘n’ roll musical, The Rocky Horror Show has returned as part of a sell-out worldwide tour. 

Starring Strictly Come Dancing winner Ore Oduba as Brad, the Rocky Horror Show is a guaranteed party and features timeless classics, including the show-stopping Time Warp.

The show is running at the Palace Theatre until Saturday 22 January.

Winter Beer Festival

After having to cancel last year’s event due to lockdown, Manchester’s street food venue GRUB is getting ready to welcome back its annual local and independent Winter Beer Festival from Friday 21 to Sunday 23 January.

There will be local brews aplenty with brewery bars from Beatnikz Republic, Blackjack Brewing Co, Rivington Brewing Co, The Runaway Brewery and Squawk Brewing Co plus over 20 guest taps.

Jean Genie – The Best of David Bowie

For some, January is spent setting goals and ambitions for the year ahead, whereas for others, it’s a time to reflect on the life and work of David Bowie following his death in January 2016.

On Saturday, The Met in Bury hosts Jean Genie. Created by John Mainwaring and John Ford in 1993, Jean Genie is celebration of the best of Bowie’s work.

Saving Britney

Pop fans can plan ahead for this quirky one - a Britney inspired theatre show is coming to Manchester at The Hope Mill on 8-10 March.

Melding together the real-world events of Britney Spears’ turbulent life with the voice of a millennial superfan, Saving Britney explores the magnetic effect of pop stars and the depiction of mental health in the media.

The show which takes its inspiration from the #FreeBritney movement, is a super fan solo show about being hopelessly devoted to Britney Spears.
