2022 is set to be a busy year in Manchester’s thriving music scene.

Live music is part of the city’s lifeblood and there are lots of big name stars already confirmed across the city’s venues in 2022, as well as a jam-packed grassroots scene.

Ed Sheeran

Etihad Stadium, 10 ,11 and 12 June 2022

The best-selling Shape of You songsmith is set to enjoy a three-night run at the Etihad as part of an extensive world tour. Expect songs from his recent platinum-selling album =, as well as some older tracks from the hit machine.

The Killers

Emirates Old Trafford cricket ground, 11 June 2022

A Saturday date awaits one of the best stadium-filling bands around, as Las Vegas’ finest glamorous indie rock and rollers rock up at the Emirates. No frontman quite pulls off a white suit like Brandon Flowers and the band are always an uplifting, sing-along joy to watch in the flesh.

The outspoken cult favourite is at the Apollo for one night only and with her unique thirty-year back catalogue and distinct vocals, it’s sure to be a memorable night.

Billie Eilish

AO Arena, 8 June 2022

The Grammy-grabbing songwriter brings her distinctive sounds to the AO as part of the Happier than Ever tour. The American star has recently been announced as headliner for the legendary Coachella festival and tickets are selling fast for her Manchester gig. There are a few left at Ticketmaster.

Liam Gallagher

Etihad stadium, 1 June 2022

2022 is a big year for Liam as he returns to Knebworth, 26 years on from the iconic Oasis gigs - but he’s also in town at his beloved Etihad for a summer date with the home crowd. Much-longed for reunions with brother Noel still look unlikely to pan out but it’s likely to be a fun gig nonetheless. Tickets from £51 at Ticketmaster.
