Soccer Aid 2023: Jill Scott to be first ever female England captain as stars announced for Old Trafford

The line-up for this year’s Soccer Aid all-star match has been announced with some old favourites returning and some new names making their debut.

The match will take place on Sunday 11 June at Old Trafford and raise cash once more for Unicef.

The famous names returning from the worlds of sport and showbiz confirmed so far as Usain Bolt, Sir Mo Farah, Paddy McGuinness, Jermain Defoe, Vicky McClure, Emma Hayes, Eni Aluko, Gary Neville, Paul Scholes, David James, Tom Grennan, Lee Mack, Steven Bartlett, Alex Brooker, Kem Cetinay, Chunkz and Robbie Keane.

Making their Soccer Aid debut are Jack Wilshere, Jill Scott, Joel Corry, Bugzy Malone, Karen Carney and Gary Cahill.

And Jill Scott will land the unique honour of being the first female captain of the England side taking on the rest of the world XI. Jill said: “The Euros, The Jungle and now Soccer Aid for UNICEF - I’ve won two of them, so just need Soccer Aid now to complete ‘The Treble’. I think of all three, this might be the one I’m most nervous about, though – just look at the names involved! Buy a ticket, support this amazing cause and cheer us on.”

How to get tickets for SoccerAid 2023

Tickets for the game are on sale now at the Soccer Aid website. You can buy a family pass for two adults and two kids for £60.

The game will also be shown live on ITV. All money raised goes towards Unicef which supports children in need around the world.
