Neighbourhood Weekender 2022: when is it, who is playing at the festival - and can I still get tickets?

One of the biggest music festivals in the North West kicks off soon, with a star studded line-up already announced.

Neighbourhood Weekender 2022 is a two day weekend festival which sees some of the biggest names on the music scene descend on Warrington.

Ahead of the festival, here’s some important information on if you can still get tickets, who is playing the festival, and how you can get to it from Manchester.

The 2022 instalment of the festival takes place over 28 and 29 May in Victoria Park Warrington.

Who is playing at the festival?

Manchester indie rockers Courteeners top the bill on 28 May and will follow on from sets by The DMA’s and Becky Hill.

The Fratelli’s, Scouting For Girls, and The Reytons are amongst the wide range of acts also playing the Saturday at the festival.

Closing the festival on Sunday 29 May, Kasabian are set to bring their huge back catalogue of anthems to Victoria Park after their incredible sold-out tour of intimate venues last year.

Following the announcement of their brand-new, fourth studio album ‘Ribbon Around The Bomb’ due for release 29 April, Stockport’s finest Blossoms take to the stage on Sunday evening.

Other Sunday highlights include Manic Street Preachers, The Amazons, Razorlight, and Jamie Webster.

Following their exceptional performances at last year’s festival Sports Team, Inhaler and The Lathums return to The Neighbourhood with indie titans Pale Waves, Crawlers and Wet Leg – who were recently nominated for five NME Awards.

Can I get tickets?

Day and weekend tickets are still available for Neighbourhood Weekender 2022 through Ticketmaster.

Weekend tickets are £126.50 and will give you access to the festival site to check out the wide range of acts performing.

Saturday tickets are on sale, but according to Ticketmaster these have low availability.

They cost £66.45, but you may need to be quick to snap one of these up.

Sunday tickets have more availability through Ticketmaster, and these are also on sale for £66.45.

Upgrade tickets and car parking passes can also be bought through Ticketmaster.

How can I get to the festival from Manchester?

The festival is located relatively close to Manchester, and can be accessed by various forms of transport.

Train

Warrington has two train stations – Warrington Bank Quay and Warrington Central making it easily accessible from most locations.

Trains run from Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Oxford Road to Warrington Central.

Coach

Big Green Coach are back in 2022 as the official coach travel partner of the festival.

Day Return Services are on sale from – Birkenhead, Bradford, Chester, Crewe, Huddersfield, Leeds, Leicester, Liverpool, Manchester, Preston, Sheffield, Stockport, Stoke on Trent and Wigan.

Coach services run on Saturday and Sunday. All coaches are timed to arrive before the music starts and will drop you in the Official Coach Area.

Drop off

The festival has a designated area which is the official pick and drop off point for the festival.

They ask that drivers please follow festival signage to Sir Thomas Boteler School.

Please note there are no residential or other roads or areas to wait, drop off or park.
