Manchester Christmas Markets photos: 35 pictures of Winter Gardens food and drink stalls & more

Manchester Christmas Markets are now open - check out some great photos of some of the highlights from the Winter Gardens at Piccadilly Gardens.

Manchester Christmas Markets have opened their doors once more for the 2022 festive season.

The markets are once more spread across nine locations in Manchester city centre and will be open from 10am to 9pm daily in the countdown to Christmas until 22 December, with retail stalls closing a little earlier at 8pm. Whether you’re after a famous hot chocolate with churros, or a glass of mulled wine and a bit of Christmas gift shopping, with 220 stalls this year, there is plenty to choose from.

We headed to the Winter Gardens attraction at Piccadilly Gardens on the opening day (10 November) to check out what’s on offer and what’s new for our photo gallery.

Among the top attractions for 2022 are some brand new Nordic tipi tents with roaring fires, hot drinks, seating areas and evening entertainment at the Winter Gardens for the duration of the markets.
