Kendal Calling line-up: Manchester takeover with Noel Gallagher and Gary Neville DJ set- how to get tickets

Music festival Kendal Calling has announced its line-up for 2024. Amongst the names are several big names from Manchester- including one you might not expect to see on stage. 

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will headline the festival, which takes place at Lowther Deer Park in the heart of the Peak District. The former Oasis member returns to the festival for the first time since 2016. 

The Charlatans' frontman Tim Burgess will take to the stage for a DJ set. The Salford-born singer songwriter will be bringing along a special guest as Manchester United legend turned businessman Gary Neville will join his friend Burgess on stage. Neville has had an interesting start to the year, and the Kendal Calling announcement comes shortly after he made an appearance as a ‘guest dragon’ on BBC One show ‘Dragons Den’. 

Burgess said: "I'm very excited about the prospect of DJing with Gary - he's got great taste in music. Last time we shared a stage was when he joined The Charlatans on guitar. Can't promise we'll be doing any songs together but there might be an impromptu singalong at some point."

The Mancunian names will be joining the likes of Paolo Nutini, The Streets and Sugababes in Cumbria. The festival this year takes place from August 1-4.

“From the incredible Paolo Nutini closing the Sunday night and Keane, Sugababes, Paul Heaton & Rianne Downey and Katy B gracing our fields for the first time, joined by old friends Noel Gallagher and his High Flying Birds and The Streets closing the Friday and Saturday night respectively, we have the perfect ingredients for a fantastically celebratory weekend. But as ever the most important ingredient is YOU - and we can’t to see you in the fields."

How to get tickets to Kendal Calling 2024

Pre-sale tickets for Kendal Calling will become available from 10am on Friday January 26. You can register for this window by visiting the festival website. 

The remaining tickets will be available on general sale. This will open at 10am on Monday January 29 also through the Kendal Calling website.
