The Courteeners have announced a huge homecoming gig at Heaton Park in Greater Manchester.
The indie favourites from Middleton are marking 15 years since the release of St Jude with the mega concert next summer.

Singer Liam Fray teased the announcement on social media before revealing all this week, and confirming they are releasing a special edition of the iconic album early next year.
He said they will play the album in full at their Heaton Park date.


The rockers are no stranger to Heaton Park having gigged there before twice, and tickets are expected to sell fast - their last date at Emirates Old Trafford was a sell-out in under two hours.

The concert will take place at Heaton Park on Friday 9 June 2023.
How do I get pre-sale tickets for the Courteneers’ Heaton Park gig?

You need to pre-order the special edition of St Jude from the Courteneers website here before 5pm on Wednesday 31 August.
You will then need to register via email by 8pm for a pre-sale code and ticket link, to access pre-sale tickets ahead of the general sale.
The pre-sale will start at 9am Thursday 1 September. Pre-ordering an album does not guarantee tickets.


When do tickets go on general sale and how much are tickets?
General tickets will go on sale at 9am (BST) Friday 2 September from the usual outlets including Ticketmaster.
Ticket prices are from £60.50 for general admission.

The frontman tweeted: “To celebrate 15 years of cavorting, we’ll be playing St.Jude in full (and the rest you love) at the centre of the Universe…Heaton Park, Manchester.”
The band previously played the venue in 2015 and 2019.
