The Grammy-award winner was embroiled in major controversy at the 2022 Oscars ceremony, after actor Will Smith appeared to walk on stage and hit the comedian, after Rock made a distasteful joke aimed at Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith.
The joke was in reference to Ms Pinkett-Smith’s hair-loss condition , alopecia, which she was diagnosed as having in 2018.
Rock said: “Jada, I love, ‘G.I. Jane 2’, I can’t wait to see it,”
The camera cut to Jada’s husband Will Smith, and initially it looked like he was laughing.
