The world’s best dart players are set to take centre stage in Manchester as they take part in the 2022 Cazoo Premier League.

After the drama that unfolded at the World Championship’s late 2021/2022, we have been treated to a Premier League that has so far given us drama and an abundance of quality.

With the season at the halfway point, the league is hotting up, and will be at boiling point by the time they roll up in Manchester.

What is the Cazoo darts Premier League?

The Cazoo Premier League pits the eight highest ranked dart players in the world against each other every week, in a bid to see who can win and be crowned the winner.

The Premier League has undergone a new format this year, ensuring there can be no draws, with the new format being very well accepted and deemed a roaring success.

Previously, players could draw against each other, but in this new format, players can not draw against each other.

The new league format sees the best players in the world play a quarter final, a semi final and a final. Points are awarded for progression from the quarter finals, semi’s and so on.  Five go to the winner, three to the runner-up and two to the semi-finalists - to form the league table from which the top four players will progress to the Play-Offs.

When does the Darts Premier League come to Manchester?

The Cazoo darts Premier League is set to come to Manchester on Thursday, April 14, 2022.

The best ranked players in the world will be performing at the iconic AO Arena, battling it out on night 10 to gain some valuable points.

The Premier League is the pinnacle for darts players, and only eight gained entry.

They are: Peter Wright (world no.1), Gerwyn Price,  Michael Smith, Michael Van Gerwyn, James Wade, Jonny Clayton, Gary Anderson and Joe Cullen, who is in his inaugural season.

The Premier League was last in Birmingham, where Jonny Clayton dispatched James Wade 6-1 in the final.

This win for the Welshman sees him move level on points with former world number one Michael Van Gerwen on 17 points.

The lineup for the showdown in Manchester is as follows:

Every night in the Premier League whether it be in Nottingham, Liverpool or Rotterdam has been very popular, and as we edge closer to the date for Manchester, tickets are available.

Tickets can be purchased from Ticketmaster, and the lowest priced ones are currently priced at £32.20 each, and are a resale from other people.

Tickets are on ‘low availability’ so will run out soon.
