Manchester’s Lyndon Arthur takes centre stage on Friday night when he meets Argentinian Braian Nahuel Suarez for the IBO World light heavyweight title. 

A hugely popular fighter in the city, he’ll be well supported at the University of Bolton Stadium.

Now 32, popular Manchester fighter Lyndon Arthur has lost just one fight as a professional - when he was stopped by Anthony Yarde in their big rematch back in 2021. Arthur had won the first fight though and the light heavyweight has an impressive 22-1 record as he looks to pick up a major title.  

Who is Braian Nahuel Suarez?

The Buenos Aires native has won 18 of his 19 fights, with 17 knockouts, but has never fought outside of his home country. 

When and where is the fight?

Their meeting for the IBO World light-heavyweight title takes places at the Bolton Whites Hotel - attached to Bolton Wanderers’ Toughsheet Community Stadium - on Friday, September 1.

Which TV channel is Lyndon Arthur against Braian Nahuel Suarez on?

The fight will be live, free-to-air on Channel 5, with the programme starting at 10pm.

He’s dreaming big too and has spoken in the past of his desire to fight at Old Trafford. While he’s fought several times at the AO Arena during his career he also of course wouldn’t mind headlining there one day.
