Manchester United’s list of absentees has been significantly reduced in January with the return of several players from long-term injuries.

Harry Maguire, Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw, Casemiro and Christian Eriksen have been reintegrated into the team over recent weeks, in a huge boost for Erik ten Hag. United had 13 players missing for their first game of the month, the 2-0 win at Wigan Athletic, but end January with just five players ruled out of Thursday’s game against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Anthony Martial won’t return until around April time due to a hip injury that required surgery, while Ten Hag confirmed ahead of the game that Victor Lindelof, Tyrell Malacia and Mount have stepped up their recoveries from injury but won't be back in time to face Wolves.

It's unclear whether Sofyan Amrabat will be available for the clash at Molineux after Morocco were eliminated from the Africa Cup of Nations on Tuesday, with the United midfielder sent off in latter stages of the defeat to South Africa. But Andre Onana will be back after Cameroon's exit from the competition over the weekend.

Marcus Rashford is also an option for Ten Hag after missing the trip to Newport County following that ill-fated night out in Belfast, although Ten Hag was unwilling to discuss the matter in detail during his pre-match press conference.

As for Wolves, they’re without Boubacar Traore and Hee-Chan Hwang who are on international duty. But Joao Gomes is back from suspension and Gary O'Neil confirmed on Wednesday that Pablo Sarabia has recovered from a shin problem and could feature against United.

Doubts: Wan-Bissaka, Amrabat (United). Out: Traore, Hwang (Wolves); Lindelof, Malacia, Mount, Martial (United).
