The teenage midfielder has been included in the Man Utd to face Lyon in their massive Europa League second leg.

Manchester United could hand out a debut when they face Lyon in the second leg of their huge Europa League quarter-final tie on Thursday night. Ruben Amorim is certain to make two changes to his starting line up for the match, while a quartet of academy hopefuls have been included in the provisional squad.

It has been confirmed Andre Onana will start in goal ahead of Altay Bayindir, while Rasmus Hojlund is set to lead the line after Joshua Zirkzee was ruled out for the remainder of the season. United could make five changes to the side that lost 4-1 to Newcastle at the weekend and name the same team that started the 2-2 draw in France a week ago.

Moorhouse has already been named on the substitute bench against both Tottenham and Arsenal earlier this season but has yet to make his competitive debut for his boyhood club. The teenager is expected to make a senior appearance before the end of the campaign and is in line to feature on their post-season tour of Asia as well as their summer tour of the US.

He made his debut for United's U18 side when he was just 15 and has been a regular for the U21 side since making the step up last summer. Although he was born in Manchester, Moorhouse is eligible to play for the Republic of Ireland, and was received his first U21 cap at international level last month.
