Brian Brobbey is a 20-year old striker who plays for German Bundesliga side RB Leipzig.

The Dutch youth international began his career with Ajax, breaking through at the Amsterdam club’s feeder team Jong Ajax in 2018.
He was called up to the senior ranks of the Eredivise giants in 2020 having scored 16 goals in 30 games across two seasons for Jong.
Brobbey scored six goals in 19 games at the Johan Cruijff ArenA and earned a move to RB Leipzig in the summer of 2021.

After making 14 appearances across all competition for the Bundesliga side he returned to Ajax to spend the second half of last season on loan.
The Amsterdam native managed seven goals in 13 games to help his hometown side to their 36th Eredivise title.
On the international stage, Brobbey has represented The Netherlands at Under 15, Under 16 and Under 17 level - scoring 16 goals in 24 games for the Under 17 side.

What is being reported about Manchester United’s interest in Brian Brobbey?
According to The Times, Erik ten Hag is hoping to ‘foil’ the attempts of Ajax to re-sign the 20-year old with a £13 million bid for his services.
The report says that the new United head coach “is keen on bringing Brobbey to Manchester in order to strengthen his attacking department.”
The same article references an interview that Brobbey gave to a Dutch newspaper Algemeen Dagblad last month where he said: “I told [Leipzig] that I would prefer staying with Ajax.”
