West Ham have 'agreed' £25m deal for Liverpool & Chelsea target as Man Utd 'talks' continue
Manchester United’s fellow Premier League side West Ham have ‘agreed’ a deal worth £25million plus add-ons for Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville, according to a report by the Evening Standard. The Hammers are closing in on a move for the Championship winger.
He isn’t the only deal that Julen Lopetegui is working on either right now, with the London club also trying to bring in Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Old Trafford and striker Niclas Fullkrug from Borussia Dortmund, as per Sky Sports. The latter caught the eye at Euro 2024 with the hosts Germany and may well be on his way to England now.

Hide AdWan-Bissaka, who is 27-years-old, only has a year left on his contract at United so letting him leave now would be a sensible decision. It means the club will get a fee for him and not lose him for free in 12 months. Summerville could be teammates with the Red Devils man at the London Stadium. The 22-year-old caught the eye at Leeds in the last campaign and scored 23 goals in all competitions.
He helped Daniel Farke’s side reach the play-off final. However, they were beaten at Wembley by Southampton and missed out on promotion to the top flight. Farke said earlier this year: “He is playing an outstanding season in terms of performances, end product and also his willingness to work for the team, to be there and deliver on a daily basis even in training, otherwise you can’t deliver consistency in this league.
“You have to be on it each and every day on the training pitch but also with good habits in nutrition, sleep and recovery. We don’t have to speak about the potential of Cree, the sky is the limit with his potential but to show consistency this is crucial. It’s no coincidence he has delivered many end products.”
A move to West Ham would help him show what he can do at the top level. He will have benefitted from his time in the second tier at Elland Road. As for Wan-Bissaka, a change of scene will also do him good. His time at United hasn’t always gone to plan. The Red Devils landed him back in 2019 after he caught the eye at Crystal Palace. He has since made 190 appearances in all competitions, 30 of which came last season.

Lopetegui could see Wan-Bissaka as someone to bolster his defensive department. He could prove to be a shrewd signing by the London outfit if they are able to get a deal over the line. It is a new era at the London Stadium following the exit of former United boss David Moyes earlier this year.
