The matches Leny Yoro and Rasmus Hojlund will miss after huge Manchester United injury blows confirmed
The latest Man Utd injury news with Leny Yoro and Rasmus Hojlund both sidelined ahead of the new season.
Manchester United will be without both Leny Yoro and Rasmus Hojlund for the start of the new Premier League after they confirmed the extent of their injuries.
Summer signing Leny Yoro is set to be out for three months after he fractured a metatarsal in the 2-1 friendly defeat to Arsenal in Los Angeles, while Hojlund will be unavailable for six weeks after he suffered a hamstring injury. It is a huge blow to manager Erik ten Hag ahead of the new campaign, with two key starters set to be missing in the opening few weeks of the season.
Hojlund is set to miss the Community Shield clash with Manchester City as well as the three opening matches of the new Premier League season. It is hoped he could be available after the September internationals.
Yoro could miss as many as 15 matches based on the rough estimation of returning at the very start of November, including three Europa League matchdays and potentially two Carabao Cup rounds.
Joshua Zirkzee, Marcus Rashford and Amad will most likely be tasked with leading the line in Hojlund's absence during the first weeks of the campaign, while Harry Maguire could partner Lisandro Martinez in defence. United are still in the market for another centre-back this summer and could accelerate those plans after the huge injury setback.
