Manchester United boss Marc Skinner leads his side into their first ever UEFA Women's Champions League (UWCL) clash in their history tomorrow night as they face Paris Saint-Germain at Leigh Sports Village.

A passionate and packed out crowd is expected to welcome the two clubs as they face off over two legs in the mammoth tie and the 40-year-old revealed what he believes his side must do to reach the group stages of the competition.

"It would have been ideal to play the second leg at home but we have to approach it like we want to win both games" said Skinner.

"You have to respect the opponents because they have some wonderful attacking qualities and they're very good at attacking. It is a huge strength of theirs. We have to deny them the spaces they want to play in, which we have identified. I find this a trait of women's football but sometimes attacks are better than defences.

"From my perspective, I think we have to score in both legs. We'd love to keep clean sheets but against an opponent that can literally create magic, we're going to have to score I think. We have a plan, as we always have, we have a focus - get game one done with our plan and our focus then for game two, adapt and try and win that one as well - but I think we need to win both games rather than sit in for a draw.

"But let's see where the game takes us and we will manage it according" he added.

The gigantic clash tomorrow night comes just four days after a breathtaking clash with Arsenal in the Women's Super League and Skinner pointed to the United fan-base as vital when it comes to Tuesday night's tie.

"Our fans are absolutely the best in the league. They feed us and we are going to need them again" he said.

Skinner revealed that defender Aoife Mannion has been included in the European squad owing to injury and gave fans an update on when they can expect the Republic Of Ireland star to return to the squad. He also explained the reasons why summer signing Evie Rabjohn was left out of the squad.

"When Evie came in, we spoke about her growth and how we are going to develop her - a little bit like Grace Clinton where we have her here for six months then potentially look at her going out on loan, finding her game formats, really pushing her in training to get her to the kind of level and standard that we want, and she has been doing great to be fair.

"From our perspective you can have many games in the UWCL or you can have two and it was about being able to navigate both courses really.

"We plan to get through to the group stages then obviously Aoife would come back into play. For us that is as clear as it was - and all of that has been communicated" said the head coach.

Manchester United take on Paris Saint-Germain in the UWCL tomorrow night in with kick off scheduled for 8pm. Limited tickets are still available here.
