Man Utd are back in action when they travel to face Tottenham in the Carabao Cup on Thursday night.

Ange Postecoglou has eased injury concerns regarding defender Destiny Udogie ahead of Tottenham's Carabao Cup quarter-final clash with Manchester United later this week.

Tottenham geared up for their huge cup tie with an emphatic 5-0 victory away at Southampton on Sunday night, just hours after United came from behind to defeat Man City at the Etihad Stadium in dramatic circumstance.

Udogie played a key role in Tottenham's fourth goal of the night, but was eventually replaced by fellow full-back Pedro Porro after he felt some tightness in his leg. Postecoglou will hope to have the 22-year-old available when they face United on Thursday night and revealed his withdrawal was little more than a precautionary measure.

"We'll see how he is," he said after the win. "He felt a bit tight in his quad. To be fair, he wanted to continue but we can't take any risks at the moment. So we took him off with Sonny. I don't think it's anything significant at this stage and more precautionary."

It will come as a huge relief to Tottenham fans after their side were already without Micky van de Ven, Cristian Romero, Ben Davies, Guglielmo Vicario, Mikey Moore, Richarlison and Wilson Odobert at the weekend. It remains to be seen whether any of them will return in time to be involved at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Thursday night.
