Man Utd face Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup quarter-final on Thursday night.

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou says Destiny Udogie could be available to face Manchester United in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup on Thursday night.

Spurs head into the match on the back of a superb 5-0 win away against Southampton last weekend, though they suffered a fitness scare when key defender Udogie was withdrawn after just 28 minutes of the match.

The 22-year-old looked in some discomfort when he was replaced by Pedro Porro early on, though Postecoglou has confirmed he did not suffer an injury setback in the win. It remains to be seen whether or not Udogie will feature on Thursday night, but there was at least some encouragement on the injury front for the Tottenham boss.

“From the other night, Destiny no injury but he is still sore from the game,” he told reporters on Wednesday. “Not ruling him out but will see how he is with the turnaround.

Tottenham are certain to be without a number of star players for the match, with Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero not expected back until next year, while a trio are closing in on their return to action. He added: “I think both will be in the new year. Not as significant an injury as last time with Micky but obviously having a setback the medical team is going to make sure he is right to go. Mikey (Moore) is back in training. The next cabs off the rank are Mikey and Ben Davies potentially next week and Richarlison potentially first week of the new year.”
