After months of hot discussion, it has been confirmed that longstanding Manchester United first-choice goalkeeper David de Gea will leave Old Trafford this summer.
The Spaniard was signed by Sir Alex Ferguson in 2011 and made a huge 545 appearances for the Red Devils, winning the Premier League, two FA Cup trophies, two League Cup trophies and the Europa League.
It leaves a hole between the sticks that Erik ten Hag will have to remedy this summer but also marks the end of an era as the last of Sir Alex Ferguson's signings departs from the North West.

Manchester United legend Antonio Valencia retired from football in 2021. Since then, the 37-year-old founded AV25 Club Deportivo in Ecuador and has been seen bulking out in the gym.

England legend Michael Owen is regularly seen working as a pundit these days. He also appeared on The Masked Singer last year and owns Manor House Stables thanks to his love of horses.
