Hide AdRuud van Nistelrooy applies for vacant Coventry City post
Ruud van Nistelrooy has wasted little time after he was let go by United following his stint as interim manager at Old Trafford. He is said to be looking to jump back into the manager’s hot-seat immediately and has applied for the vacant post at Coventry City.
This is according to a report from journalist Sam Cohen on X (formerly Twitter), who wrote: “Understand Ruud van Nistelrooy has applied for the Coventry City job. Coventry have a shortlist of managers they’re considering to appoint, pending final managerial decision.”
The Sky Blues have been searching for a new manager ever since they shockingly decided to sack Mark Robins earlier in the month. As things stand, they are 17th in the Championship table, having picked up 16 points from 15 league games.
Though Van Nistelrooy has now left United, his time as interim head coach was a modest success. He didn’t lose a single game during his time at the helm, winning three and drawing one. As such, the stage is now set for him to lead a successful career in football management.

Manchester United ‘still’ looking to sign Jarrad Branthwaite from Everton
United’s interest in Everton centre back Jarrad Branthwaite is well documented at this point. They are still looking to force a deal through for the player - according to GIVEMESPORT, a move for the player cannot be ‘ruled out’ at this stage.
In the summer, Everton were said to be demanding a fee of £80 million for Branthwaite’s services. There has been no update on this as of yet - therefore, it can be assumed that the Merseyside outfit’s stance hasn’t changed.
